August 2017

A system is the name given to the combination of various components that mesh perfectly. The new products from Tridonic show how this idea works in practice. They include the new flexC SC ADVANCED series of drivers, which have been ideally matched to the existing SLE series of LED modules. The result is a highly variable solution that covers the entire range of luminous fluxes.

Retail & Hospitality

Driver LC 25/35/40/50/60 W flexC SC ADVANCED

Compact housing for small track boxes and unobtrusive luminaire design
Adjustable output currents from 350 mA to 1,400 mA

The new flexC ADVANCED driver can be perfectly combined with the SLE LED spotlight module series. The result is a well-matched system that is particularly suited for architectural and retail illumination. With five wattages, each with five output currents that can be selected with ADV plug, the constant current driver covers all common currents in spotlights and downlights. One SLE module is enough to achieve lumen outputs between 2,000 and 5,000 lm with three drivers. more...

Driver LC 60/100 W 24 V SC/lp ESSENCE

Available in the shapes linear low profile (lp) and stretched compact (SC)
Energy efficiency up to 90 percent
Very good THD output with wide load range < 5 %

The new constant voltage driver in the ESSENCE category is ideal if energy efficiency takes priority when operating flexible 24 V LED stripes (LLE FLEX). Dimmable operation is possible with corresponding PMW dimmers. The slender design opens up plenty of design freedom as both a recessed and ceiling recessed variant are available. more...

Office & Education

Driver LC 38/57/81 W lp ADVANCED (SELV with DC operation)

38 W, 57 W and 81 W
Very high efficiency up to 95 %

This is the only driver in its class that is also available with DC operation, making it suitable to supply emergency lighting through a central battery. It also comes with the familiar advantages such as three wattages, five output currents to choose from and the very good efficiency. Alongside the current SELV drivers, a non-SELV variant will also be available in the near future. more...

The future of retail

The retail industry is constantly reinventing itself taking developments and changes in technology and society into account: Millenials, UX-design, eCommerce… the list is never-ending. Newly emerging influences are pushing innovators and technologies to create new advanced solutions. Part of the constant change is lighting – a key element of brick-and-mortar retail. Intelligent lighting concepts seem to play a key role moving forward.

We invite you to take a look at highest rated use cases in retail 2022. We identified likely mega trends in the development of shopping environments and would like to share our findings with you. Let's discuss the “Internet of Light” – the key to the “Internet of Things” – and its importance for retail. And not to forget: there is still room to improve the quality of “classic” lighting technologies. We are also happy to share our progress on this topic.
